What is KLIFE?
KLIFE is a community-wide, interdenominational Christian ministry of discipleship and fellowship for youth and their families. Through a variety of activities (KLUBs, small group Bible studies, mission trips, ski trips, and monthly events), KLIFE kids grow in their faith and have lots of fun in the process. They learn that following Christ and discovering His plan for their life is the most exciting adventure of all and that they can count on friendship and support from leaders and peers who care.
KLIFE works alongside churches and families in the community to teach and encourage kids to be strong in the Lord in spite of all the negative pressures they face as teenagers. KLIFE networks kids from different churches, and those without a church affiliation, to build positive, Godly relationships that can withstand the negative peer pressure so prevalent in today’s youth culture.
The heartbeat of KLIFE lies in the ability to build relationships with kids and bring the content of God’s word to bear on those relationships. Our desire is that kids would choose to participate in one of our small groups led by our staff and volunteer leaders. The purpose of these groups is for kids to gain a greater knowledge of God’s word, build Godly relationships with peers, and have access to a mentoring leader to come alongside them as they navigate those difficult adolescent years. Supporting and surrounding our small group strategy are the more visible components of our ministry: weekly KLUB meetings, activities, events, and retreats. Weekly meetings consist of songs, games, skits, and talks that contain a lesson with a relevant life application from the Bible.

Caleb Hitchcock | chapter director
Caleb is from West Palm Beach, Florida, where he attended Palm Beach Atlantic University and studied Ministry. He served two summers with Kanakuk Kamps at K-West, and he was also the Student Ministries Intern at his church in South Florida. Just before moving to Waco, Caleb married his best friend, Emily, who is now teaching second grade at Live Oak Classical School. The KLIFE Board is comprised of couples within the community looking to partner with KLIFE in its active pursuit of Christ. These couples serve to assist the ministry by faithfully praying, supporting and assisting the ministry. Each Board member is actively engaged in the ministry.
The heart of our ministry is small groups. Our small groups are made up of boys or girls in the same grade. They are led by young professionals and college students who have a heart for ministry and working with kids. Last year our leaders spent over 14,000 hours with their small group kids.
Each small group has one to three KLIFE volunteers (college age or older) or a KLIFE staff member leading it. The volunteer has been through an interview process with a staff member, has been background checked, and has signed a commitment to follow Christ in their own life. The groups are assembled according first to gender, then by groups of friends possibly covering a couple of grades, but are purposeful in bringing groups of kids together to build accountability relationships.
A small group meets once a week and studies the Bible or a biblically-based book keeping in line with the KLIFE curriculum. The time they meet is determined by the leader of the group based on when everyone is able to get together.

LIVE is a digital curriculum that gets kids into the Bible and the Bible into kids. LIVE crafted lessons are easily understood, with principles that our leaders can grasp and pass along to students. Plus, the lessons emphasize discussion, dialogue, and meaningful connections among the group. This allows leaders and students to just enjoy spending time with one another and each will thrive with this curriculum.
Each KLIFE Small Group may use the interactive LIVE Curriculum to help each group be effective and focused. Your KLIFE Staff Director will set you and your group up in the system.

How is KLIFE Funded?
KLIFE is only possible through the financial support of the generous donors. We are not financially connected to any outside source like Kanakuk Kamps, Baylor University, or a large corporate sponsor. We exist from the goodness of people like you who see the value in this ministry.
The majority of KLIFE funding comes from local families. These families either have students involved or believe in the mission of the ministry.
KLIFE also relies on local businesses to give monthly or to fundraisers.
Big and small churches also partner with KLIFE to give either annually or monthly.
KLIFE seeks funding through grant writing as well.
4 Ways to Support KLIFE
Donate once a year - Mark your calendar and make a donation annually. This can be at a fundraiser, at the beginning or end of every school year, or when it’s most convenient for you.
Mail a Check - All checks can be made out to KLIFE and can be given to any KLIFE board member or mailed to the building.
Voided Check - Give a board member a voided check with the amount you’d like to give and we will set up a monthly draft.
Give Online - You can give with a credit card, e-check, or debit card. You can also set up a recurring gift online.
In addition to money donations, we are now able to accept vehicle donations, jewelry, used cell phones, gift cards, stock, and much more! The proceeds from your donations will go towards impacting a youth culture for Christ.

DO YOU USE AMAZON?
ATTENTION, AMAZON SHOPPERS!
If you are a frequent Amazon.com shopper, you could be donating to KLIFE without changing your shopping habits! We have partnered with Amazon Smile, a program from Amazon that gives money to organizations through online purchases. Would you please consider using Amazon Smile? Every little bit helps us, and this is an easy, convenient way to help the KLIFE team!
1. Go to smile.amazon.com
2. Choose the "select charity" button
3. Type K-life in the search bar (amazon still recognizes us as K-life, not KLIFE).
4. There will be several K-life Ministries pop up on your screen. Scroll to the one that has Waco, Texas as your location.
5. Once you select us, it should save us as your default ministry to donate to! If you bookmark the amazon smile main page, it should take you there every time without having to go through these steps again.
Thanks for being involved with KLIFE. We hope this is an easy way for you to give back, and help us continue to run our ministry to the best of our ability. We appreciate you!
